Tastings and Classes at Paris Wine Fair

NCDOT Aims to Help Travelers Save Time and Money Over Thanksgiving Holiday

RALEIGH, N.C.  — The N.C. Department of Transportation is taking steps to help motorists save both time and money this Thanksgiving by suspending most road construction activities on major routes across the state. By avoiding traffic delays, motorists can reach their destinations more quickly while also cutting down on fuel consumption and costs. Most construction projects along interstate, N.C. and U.S. routes will be suspended beginning at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 22, until 9 a.m., Monday, Nov. 28, with two exceptions:

  • U.S. 17 Business in Jacksonville (Onslow County) is reduced to two-lane, two-way traffic on the Buddy Phillips Bridge over the New River for construction of a new bridge; and
  • U.S. 17

P&O to Make Tipping Mandatory on All Cruises

From April 2012, P&O Cruises will replace its traditional method of tipping passengers distributing envelopes to crewmembers at the end of the cruise with fixed-rate tipping, automatically added to passenger bills at the rate of £3.10 per person, per day. According to P&O’s Managing Director Carol Marlow, the policy is aimed at reducing “awkwardness and confusion” for passengers over the subject of tipping while helping to ensure gratuity levels for staff stay consistent. Having Fun with Electricity in Honduras

There are some things you give up when staying in really cheap hotels. Comfort, convenience and service are the first to go, of course, but thats to be expected. Unfortunately, safety is usually next on the list.

Ill have a Widow Maker, Please I guess Im just going to have to get used to these things but Im not happy about it. Based on a design by Ben Franklin, the heating element is actually built into the shower head.
